I have finally given up on getting super-powers so decided to do the second best thing and open a comic shop…..

....and so Cursed Earth Comics was born.

I’ve often felt there was room for a true Comics and graphic novel book store in our area, as a lifelong fan of the medium – I certainly always felt there was need for one.  So my aim is to make the kind of shop I would want to visit myself.

Most of all I wanted a shop where people would feel welcome and comfortable coming in to browse and buy, but also to chat and read and relax.

I have a wide variety of books for all tastes/genres/ages and budgets, and I’ve hopefully made the store clean, light, easy to access and completely without snobbery or judgement, whatever you are looking for – if we don’t have it, we will get it.

Please feel free to come in and discuss what is coming out and to forward order titles and back order any books you might have missed.

I have set up a ‘Lending Library’ in-store. Older books that are too worn or damaged for the shelves are free for anyone to borrow and return at their leisure.

If someone wishes to keep a book from the library – we ask only for a discretionary donation to the ‘The Children’s Literacy Charity’ (all of the donations collected will go toward books for underprivileged kids)

The library has already proved a hit (particularly with local school kids).
